The CVJP utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to supporting veterans. We have hosted Masters of Social Work interns, Law Clerks, business students and more. Our project welcomes a variety of educational backgrounds and will work with you to develop an internship that meets your needs and will add to the CVJP.
The CVJP would not exist without our amazing volunteers. Our CVJ volunteers staff our West LA VA Welcome Center, Patriotic Hall and Sepulveda VA offices. CVJ volunteers:
-
Provide one-on-one support for justice-involved veterans
-
Use standardized in-take forms to identify veteran's needs
-
Connect veterans to services (mental health, housing, etc.)
-
Assist veterans in utilizing the CA Veteran Statutes
-
Receive ongoing training relevant to project
-
Gain access to veteran service entities and major veteran service hubs
All of the services provided by the CVJP are free to current and former service members. As such, any donation can be the difference to us being able to support and veteran or not. Your contribution will make a difference, and we thank you in advanced.
